This course is the required core design studio in the second semester of the first year. Students will develop design proposals for small, inhabitable structures that will be constructed and experienced at full scale. With the introduction of each phase of the project students will learn how to take a project from concept to reality through collaboration, experimentation, design development, working drawings, creating mockups and full-scale construction. The curriculum influences students to test the boundaries of design communications and materiality through creativity and experimentation.
