This course will address the development of models through digital 3d representations and physical modeling. The class will use and the progression of line, surface, volume and color to design their abstract digital 3d models. Lectures, workshops and assignments will demonstrate and apply digital modeling using Rhinoceros 3d, V-ray, Illustrator, Photoshop and digital fabrication output tools: such as Laser cutting, CNC milling, and 3D-printing. Each of these outputs will reflect different needs in the design and 3d models, to align with the necessary output. Course work will be arranged around 2 major assignments and small exercises due each week which will build to the completion of these assignments. The major assignments will focus on digital fabrication and digital Renderings.
