Introduces the student to all aspects of the real estate development process including site acquisition, planning, project feasibility, project financing, leasing, historic tax credits and public incentives.  Using case studies, guest lecturers, field trips, readings, homework problems, and discussions, the student will examine actual real estate projects in the Western New York area with particular emphasis on the Buffalo Metropolitan area. The course will also offer a simple and straightforward introduction to the fundamentals of real estate investment analysis utilizing financial concepts that have universal application in business and investing.
