The course is a core requirement for MS Architecture Real Estate Development students and is open to other graduate students only with the instructor’s permission.  This course must be taken in the same semester as END 526 Financing Development Projects 2.  This technology colloquium is a hands-on introduction to real estate financial analysis using Microsoft Excel and ARGUS.  The Excel portion of the colloquium will be taught in five 2-hour weekly sessions over the first 5-weeks of the semester.  These sessions will focus on the understanding and use of the Excel formulas needed for real estate underwriting.  By the end of the first five classes, students will have knowledge to build original basic real estate financial models in Excel.  The ARGUS introduction will occur later in the semester.
